Red Oak, the only modern Compliance Connectivity Platform that connects every stage of content creation, review, distribution, and supervision for the financial services industry, hosted its first annual industry event, Accelerate, April 20-22 in Austin.
The three-day summit drew hundreds of professionals from across the industry, with attendees representing leading asset managers, investment companies, wealth management companies, broker-dealers, and independent RIAs from across the US and internationally.
The event featured over 20 sessions spanning keynote presentations, industry panels, product deep-dives, roundtable discussions, and hands-on breakout workshops, and programming centered on the intersection of compliance, marketing, and artificial intelligence within the financial services industry.
“Accelerate was created with a very specific purpose: to put compliance and marketing leaders in the same room, at the same conference, having conversations that simply do not happen anywhere else in this industry,” said Dave Dutch, CEO of Red Oak. “What we saw this week was candor, cross-functional exchange, and countless new connections. That is exactly why we built this conference.”
Key themes included:
The Marketing and Compliance Partnership: A marquee industry panel featuring leaders from Manulife John Hancock Investments, CAPTRUST, Hartford Funds, Janus Henderson Investors, and Invesco — with a combined 200 years of industry experience — examined what it takes to build genuine trust between compliance and marketing teams, how that partnership holds during growth and acquisition, and what it looks like when tested in a breaking news cycle.
Compliance-Grade AI™: A focused panel brought together legal, regulatory, technology, and supervision perspectives from Eversheds Sutherland, Manulife John Hancock Investments, MirrorWeb, and Red Oak to define what it truly means for AI to be built for compliance, not bolted on after the fact. The session examined AI governance, auditability, accountability, and the architectural decisions firms are making today that will shape their regulatory posture for years.
Generational Shifts and the Impact of AI: A fireside chat between JD Power’s Mike Foy and Red Oak’s Anita Heisl, explored how AI and generational dynamics are reshaping the competitive landscape for AUM.
Accelerate attendees also got a first look at: platform integrations, a revamped connector with Seismic, the new UI, and the 2026 product roadmap.
For those unable to attend in person, Red Oak will host a series of post-event webinars, including a virtual encore of the “What Does It Mean for AI to Be Compliance-Grade?” panel. Sessions will be announced soon. Information about upcoming webinars and updates on Accelerate 2027 will be shared on Red Oak’s LinkedIn.
