Founder and Medical Director of Red Oak Cardiovascular Center
Dr. Amell earned his M.D. Cum Laude from the Universidad Nacional Pedro H. Urena in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He served his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University Hospital of Jackson, and completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Dr. Amell is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He was Chief, Department of Cardiology, Houston Northwest Medical Center in 1997. Currently Dr. Amell serves on the staff of Houston Northwest Medical Center and Memorial Hermann Hospital - The Woodlands.
