Question:
I suffer from frequent bouts of indigestion, especially when active after a full meal. My wife is concerned that it may be my heart. Is she over-reacting?
Answer:
Angina is very often described as “indigestion”, and is frequently ignored until the patient suffers a Myocardial Infarction (heart attack). Very often the first symptom of a heart attack is sudden death. If you are at risk for coronary artery disease, especially if there is history in your family, you should get a complete cardiac workup, which should include an EKG, blood work, an Echocardiogram and a Stress Test.Back
