Question:
I have a sharp pain in my left upper chest. Does this sound like a heart problem?
Answer:
Chest pain originating from the heart (Angina) is usually not sharp in nature, but a dull pressure, or squeezing sensation. Angina may also be associated with shortness of breath, nausea, or pain in the arms, shoulders, or neck area. Any chest pain that is not easily relieved with antacids, that lasts longer than five minutes, or comes on with exertion should be immediately evaluated by a physician.Back
